With this season drawing to a close I had debated letting my bike go at the end of the season...and decided it was time. Purchased at 19,000km in July 2009 it has served me well and been an absolute bulletproof bike with no issues now at 64,000km. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this bike and how well it stood up. Aside from being slightly on the harsh side being an RR, the bike did everything so well. Although most of my riding was....aggressive touring?? if that whats its called?? it served me flawlessly. Storage space was sometimes an issue but an assortment of 3 different tail bags solved that problem easy enough. I'm sure this bike would (and will) make it to 100,000km.
Maintenance included the basics with 4 sets of tires, chain twice, front and rear sprocket, bulhead bearing, one fork seal, battery, coolant flush, plugs twice, air filter and front and rear brake pads and ofcouse regular 4000-5000km oil changes with Motul or Honda Synthetic. The only other part was a bar end that vibrated lose and is on the side of the road somewhere in New Brunswick.
I'd like to give a thanks to all the guys I rode with over the past few seasons..we had some great and memorable rides.
I also like to thank Markham Honda Outdoor Power for their service on this bike. Ross (although hes no longer there) provided outstanding service and the mechanics were excellent at keeping this bike in top shape. I would recomend this dealership for service hands down. Always a great experience and trustworthy recommendations.
GP bikes serves as my place for most of my equipment which also has great service, excellent selection and fair prices. I'd recommend them for all your equipment needs.
I'm not sure what bike is next but this has been a great machine that will certainly be missed!
