buying a used bike price

Too broad a question to answer properly. CBR/Ninja 125s and 250s are ridiculously overpriced in the used market, there's a ton of complaint threads about it. That being said, the demand seems to still be there so the market is supporting those prices.

Best advice I can give you... look around at a bunch of them, tons of them around mostly with low mileage and minor cosmetic damage. Find the best deal you can afford and once you finish with it, you too get to ridiculously overprice your used bike and sell it off to the next person.
 
ya i know on kijiji ppl r selling a used cbr 125 2008 for 2500 !! that is way to hight for its market price u can easily get a 2006 suzuki gs500f for $300 more with same km or a bit higher
 
If you can afford the insurance for a GS500, then it may well be the better route to go. You won't outgrow the GS nearly as fast.
 
i got an offer for gs500f 2005 for $2200 but insurance is 300/month which is high so thats the only reason i might not get it :(
 
CBR 125 should be in the range of 1500-2200 depending on the year, milage and condition.

Ninja 250 is different.

Pre 2008s should be around 2500-3500. In all honesty, the ones that are above $3000 are pushing their luck.


Post 2008, the price can range from 3500-5000. People ask for anything above $4500 are absolutely nuts. Again, it depends on year, milage, condition and modifcations.
 
I bought my 125 in the fall for the same price I sold it in the spring $1800. You can find fair prices once in a while but you may have to wait.

Id recommend to just jump to a 250 as a minimum as the insurance increase is marginal (10$
Per month for me) and theres some good deals to be found on ninjas and cbrs.
