buy a micro SD card for $28.00 from bestbuy (use it for the gopro hero3!)

Since when does BestBuy match online prices?

"Should you find a lower price in-store, in print or online from an authorized Canadian dealer we will beat it by 10% of the difference. Tell us which competitor is offering the lower price; we will verify the price and that the item is in stock and available for immediate sale and delivery."

Few weeks ago best buy had the 32gb lexar class 10 microsd cards for $29. Went to staples with a $50 off $150 purchase and scored 2 of those as well as a lexar pro 64gb 400x SDHC card (henrys had a sale on them for $80) for $100 total. Guy at the cash register couldnt belive what just happend as staples had the cards priced at $70 each and the 64gb card at close to $200.

I felt like one of those crazy coupon people on that reality show.

Going price for 32GB class 10 micro SD cards is $30 anyway. Try price matching this 64GB Class 10 card for a slightly more substantial savings:

Best Buy: $169.99

Newegg.ca: $68.95
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA12K0948061

Now, if I understand how this works...

Difference: 169.99 - 68.95 = $101.04
Savings: $10.10
Final Price-matched Price: $58.85 +tax
They wont price match an American site.

Crap, good catch. Thought I was on the Canadian site. Our version is even cheaper :D

I don't know if BB will price match it though. Although I believe the product is exactly the same, the model numbers don't match. I suspect this is intentional so BB can claim it's a different product. Also the label on the card is not the same in this link but is the same on Amazon and other sites. Pretty sure this is the same scenario as the OP since Amazon's product number is different from Best Buy's.

The key word in the price match guarantee is, authorized dealer. They will tell you neither one if those sites are actual authorized dealers, and refuse the price match. I've tried price matching them with a Tiger Direct sale and that's the bs they told me.

I hear all sorts of BS from Futureshop and Bestbuy. This is why i never bother even price matching with them. They'll just come up with some excuse.

e.g.
1. They are trying to clear their inventory so we can't price match that ($10 monster hdmi cables)
2. We cannot match their price because they have a "limit 1 per customer" rule.
3. We cannot match that because they dont have any in stock at a store location (They had plenty in a warehouse which is essentially a store as well...).

Yea, the last time I tried was many years ago and they said they wouldn't price match online prices. Seems to have changed now according to what my friends have told me but I think it still depends on who you're talking to.

Best buy and future shop will price match pretty much all the online prices now. I got a new Xbox the other day for $127.
