Hello everyone,
For a class assignment I need to tour a plant. Got any suggestions? (Near Toronto)

It is a university level assignment and documentation can be provided. We want to get a sense of how the plant operates, plant layout, quality control processes, inventory control, etc... In the end we have to write a report, and present it to our class.

If anyone could give a tour of their plant that’d be awesome.
Since GTAM is the only forum I go on, I thought I'd ask here.

I once took a tour of a steel plant when I was in middle school. I believe it was called Lasco out in the east end somewhere past Whitby. It was pretty cool... I mean hot. DAMN HOT!!
You could always try calling the company and asking for their help in your assignment. Worst they can say is no.

Sign up for the Steam Whistle Brewery Tour downtown. It's like 10 bucks & you get a free 4 pack of beer at the end of it (so you basically just bought a 4 pack lol)

you may want to contact big box stores and somehow find out if you can tour their distribution centres. it's pretty much the same idea as a manufacturing plant.

We did the Toyota tour around 1999 while I was in the Mech. Technology program at Niagara College. Although the tour was well organized, it seemed to be focused at the elementary and high school crowd. At the end, when asked if we had any questions, we had lots regarding equipment, tonnage of presses, current career openings, etc., and the tour guides couldn't answer any of them...
