Bump and Run - Peter St - Assistance Requested

No damage at all on the left side of the bike that would indicate something solid made conact. Only thing that was on that side was the scuff in the pic and that rubbed off like rubber from a boot.

Still can't be 100% sure, but a gut feel.

I live nearby, and walked by at about 5:40 PM. I saw your bike leaning against the CB, and assumed it had been hit by a careless southbound driver. Neither of the bikes were flat out dropped. I thought about righting them, but honestly didn't want to risk being discovered doing that and potentially blamed. There was nothing that required immediate attention such as leaking fluids at the time. Sorry, I should have left a note. PM me if you have more questions, but that's pretty much all I know.

****** that this happened, but I suppose it could have been worse.

Also, really, the cb550 rider thought there was an extra noise? There is no way the situation I saw could have caused that. Must have been a hipster who has never actually listened to how noisey that valves are on those 70's CBs.

Some vehicles have rubber ends of the chrome bumpers.. like on delivery vans or white vans.. possibly something like that?

Thanks for the reply.

I went for a smoke at 5 (all was okay) so that narrows down the timeframe at least.

The CB rider was a good guy (not a hipster), even he said that he thought he didn't hear the knocking before but couldn't be sure. Guess just one of those 'what the hell happened' frames of mind that you always think the worst.

Good call too on the rubber stops, hopefully some type of camera in the area that can sort it out.
