Brutal crash, airtime and slide...

im confused what happened there. the orange zx6r was clearly slowed down enough did he just gun the throttle by accident?

It was probably another rider behind them that was riding faster and didn't notice the slow down fast enough.
 
The bike to the right that did manage to slow plenty behind the trailer was red...not orange. IS suspect the orange bike was someone who was behind them both and was going too fast to be able to stop in time.
 
holy SSSSHIII____ it scared me not expected that.. some guy that was going way too hot behind them, thats for sure

Had to go back and look at it again but the rider shown slowing down had a different helmet and clothing then the one who crashed.

Meet Zavaldil, a local cable channel stunt man from the 90s. Shortly after this clip ends a neighbor rescues Zavaladi from drowning, but a fracture to his neck forced him to stay grounded for the next 6 months.

That's "Captain Video" from the Niagara region. There's a documentary that I've seen really recently on expressvu of him, I think it's titled "Beauty day" or something like that... Actually a really interesting story.
 
Break is a great site. Captain Video the pool jumper was from St Catharines, he had a local cable TV show in the early 90's. It was "Beauty Day" he said that a lot.
