I have an SK torque wrench. It's about 5 years old. It does not have the big nut at the bottom.
It is adjustable with the numbers on the body.
I can remove the head held on by c-ring.
Problem - it does not tighten, it will click/spin but no pressure to turn the bolt. I do not use it to remove heavy bolts e.g. car wheels, just to torque them. I always stored it at 0.
I was told by SK that the inner dog ear is broken. They no longer make the replacement parts.
I get the feeling that perhaps something just popped out of place inside the head. I will take it apart later BUT before I wasted the time I thought I would ask.
Can anyone share some insight if I can salvage it or just toss it out.
It's a nice solid piece of metal, hate to just toss it out.
Thanks!
