Brine in mississauga

Careful in the mississauga area as they are are starting to put down there calcium brine on the bridges and some road. this stuff can be slippery when wet or when frost gets on it.

They've already started out in the Durham area. Parts of Taunton Road are now done.

my bike has permanent white rust marks on it from riding last year

This stuff has bee non a number of roads since some time in October and it seems that anytime the temperature goes down near freezing it gets applied. It is a salt water mix.. basically instead of putting down rock salt chunks they now put down a solution of salt water for better coverage.

If your bike rusts or corrodes with salt then this will have the same effect.

Derry Road is a Region of Peel road so their salting / bring schedule may be different than the city roads
