Brightside customs - any thoughts?

I am located in the heart of downtown and I have been looking for a powder coating company that can blast off old powder coat and apply some new powder coat. All aluminum parts. Most places I have been finding are very far for me to drive, so I found this place - http://www.brightsidecoatings.com/blog/ - located near eglington and vic park.

Has anyone used them?

Anyone know of close places to downtown?

thanks,

Kenny

While I haven't personally had anything powdercoated by Brightside (Mike Degli Angeli) more than a couple guys over at ca.dsm.org have, and they've had nothing but good things to say.

Try a search for Brightside, in the "good guy/bad guy" forum over there, and I'm sure you'll get to read some reviews.

While it probably won't get you a deal, feel free to tell him "peckerhead" sent you. I'm sure it'll at least give him a laugh, and put him in a good mood for you. ;)

lol steve, Peckerhead. Bahaha.

Mike does good work. I'm sure you will be happy with it.

Did they used to be in Whitby? If it's the same company I have used them and the quality was great.

If you don't end up going with them check out GTA custom motorsports, they're in Missisauga but the work is top notch!
+1... Always do a great job and their prices are very reasonable.
They also do a great job prepping the parts, they do a great job taping and pluging all the parts that you don't want coated and have a wide variety of colours to choose from. Definitely recommended!

22 Customs has also done well for me too. He's at 401 and Keele area. I had my swingarm done there.

lets see some pics people...

and do you know if any do magnesium wheels?

I got my 05+ zx6r rims and swing arm done by GTA custom motorsports. Prepped properly and the turn around time was great. Im pleased with their work and I'm sending them my frame and subframe to get coated as well.

Here's a pic of the rims and swing arm. Love it or hate it, I like it the color.

Any coating shop should do mag, we do....Its a little tricky because it likes to out gas more then other metals so a long pre bake is a good idea....And if you make the mistake of using acid bath to strip mag, look out your in for a surprise...Thats if your part still exists when you pull it out of the tank.....

I'm used to it by now. I don't even remember how many years ago it started. After you search for Brightside at ca.dsm.org, try searching for peckerhead.

I'm sure any powdercoating shop gets bike stuff, but, Mike mentioned years ago that he was doing a lot of motorcycle wheels and frames. If there's anything that's specific to them, he's run into it already.
