Am trying to get some parts ordered so I call at 5:45 15 minutes before closing and first call someone picks up and promptly hangs up without saying a word so I call back this time some one picks up and puts me through to parts and of course answering machine so I give up and call this morning and same thing some one picks up and hangs up without saying a word then second call puts me through to parts and of course answering machine now if this is the largest motorcycle showroom in Ontario as advertised can you not have a human being answer the phones. There is no excuse but what gets me is whenever I have walked in the store to get parts or just browse within seconds I am hounded by new bike salesmen. So if all they are interested in is selling new bikes then shut down parts and accessories and save a couple of peoples wages and just sell new bikes. Not to me anyway I was gonna trade in my bike for something else at years end but not at this place for sure

It's hit or miss there. Like all businesses they can be busy or slow. You can't expect them to drop everything to answer your call when they're with a customer. Keep trying I'm sure it'll go through. or atleast leave a message.

its not so much the answering machine but being hung up on twice probably because called just before closing and upon first opening this morn not many dealers of any kind car or motorcycle dealers that I have dealt with claiming to be the biggest run their parts dept on an answering machine call back,if dealing with a customer at that moment answer then put me on hold until free now thats how it should be done just like everywhere else

They could be having issues with the phone. Automatically hangs up when buddy picks it up or something like that.

It seems they're becoming just as popular as SoN.

OP, I've had a similar experience with them earlier this year, specifically with the parts dept.

Hmmm...sorry to hear this. I've had great experiences with BP, including their service department. Sadly, this is not the first time I've heard about the mysterious "call dump." I know the general manager spends some time on this forum. It may be time to revise the way they respond to phone inquiries.

Like actually answering the phone? It doesn't seem like a very difficult thing to "revise".

I agree it sucks to be hung up on,I assume they dont want to be stuck on the phone past quiting time?,still no excuse to be hung up on.

I've tried a few times to get through to parts and every time I got the answering machine. I emailed them once and got a reply 2 days later. What do they expect you to do? Go there to find out they don't have the part you need? Or wait 2 days? I personally don't have the time to drive around for parts or wait 2 days for something I need right away, needless to say, I'm not bothering with Brampton power sports ever

if people are too busy, they should have a button that sends to call to an answering machine. picking up and hanging up right away is just not how any legitimate business should operate.

I've gone in for Yamaha parts a few times and they were always great at the counter. The couple of times I did try and call on the phone I got the answering machine, I left a message once but didn't get a callback but at the time it wasn't a big deal since I had to go in anyway.

As for the salesmen, I've never had any problems with them. If I was browsing around the bikes, they would ask me if I needed any help and if not just to let them know if I had and questions. I certainly never felt "hounded" by them, it's their job to try and help you. For many other shops I get the opposite problem where I'm wandering around the showroom and not a single person will ask if I need any help.

The only thing I will say... it takes them a few days to get Yamaha parts in, so I now go to Oakville Yamaha for parts. First, if I get my order in early enough, they will have them for me the next morning... Second, they are very good about answering the phone... Third, they aren't located in Brampton - the drive to, in and from Brampton is completely brutal.

For Honda parts I go to Ready Honda in Mississauga. Quick and polite service.

They don't even reply for a purchase request for a Burgman 400 K8 scooter drive belt by e-mail. Not a 50 cent item but try about $150. +. Business has walked down the road to another Suzuki dealer. You had a chance but never again.....:walk:

Their parts department in person is great. A year ago though was a completely different story with the young kid there who couldn't be bothered to order me the right part after wasting my time for a month.

Have any of you guys had issues with their service department? I had to take my bike their for a quote and got it back with clips missing and more damage to the bike. Wasn't impressed at all.

I have mixed reviews on them. I have had really great experiences with service and parts and absolutely horrible experiences with both. The phone/message return thing is an issue and I agree with you 100 percent. They need someone with an IQ more than room temperature answering their front desk phone or they need an extension for parts and service. Even then it would depend on who answers at the parts or service desk [not everyone there is great].

If I wasn't so lazy I would post the good and bad experiences I have had with them but I will say since the previous service manager left [I think Brad?] it has gotten worse. I have had more piss offs there this season than I did last season. So now I just buy inexpensive things there and will most definitely not be purchasing my next bike from them.

it wouldn't take much geez if I worked there I am sure I could run the parts desk on my own answer phone and retreive parts I guess its hard to find people nowadays who wanna work and I mean really wanna work.I toil for my dollars and don't sit behind a desk looking to get through my day doing the least amount of work possible.Seems to be the problem nowadays I'll bet one day working for me and they would cry to go back to that cushy job getting away with murder like they do.I don't know how an owner of a shop such as brampton powersports could let his business be run in this manner a parts dept on answering service come on.You are losing many potential customers

I just got home from wasting my time there. I have never tried to call because I try to run more than one errand when I have to go there. Today was the last straw. I am sick and tired of standing there with my hands in my pocket waiting for the one parts guy while the two service guys just sit there and do nothing. How bloody hard is it to have the service guys pick up the slack if needed from the parts. Not to mention all the sales people just twiddling there thumbs because lets face it, there's not a ton of people buying bikes in September. I will from now on drive even more out of my way to go to Royal or Mississauga.

I'm not putting down any of the actual workers themselves because I have had nothing buy awesome experiences when actually being served. I have a huge issue with management for obviously doing nothing productive to fix all these issues. Really, wake up guys, you have customers that would rather drive/ride in crappy traffic to Mississauga, or North York, or even Guelph or Barrie because you can't run a shop.

Hi guys,
Hey when I was in there last week they were having bad problems with their internet - and apparently the telephones all use the internet as well.
Must save money on long-distance calls, but frustrating and unreliable from time to time...
Anyway the guys in there are okay, they work hard and no I don't think they hang up on customer's calls, heheh.
But ring-ring-ring, the phones just go non-stop from dawn 'till dusk. It never ends, ever, from what I could see.
Alas, the telephone is the Devil's invention...
But that place is just way too busy - far too many customers (not to mention the incessant telephones), they need more staff or something.

Even though I bought my bike there, I did feel that I was ignored at first before they knew I wanted to get one soon. On my second visit, only from the sales rep I talked to acknowledged me, but I did wait for about 10min without being acknowledged. I saw several sales people doing other things. They may have been busy, i dunno.

The only person I liked there was the receptionist. Cute too.

Some complain they get ignored others complain they feel pressured. Not everyone will be happy. Period
