Brake Question

Hey folks, I'm new to the site and new to riding. I am servicing the brakes on my new-to-me '81 Suzuki GS750L and found the spring clip and pad guides are missing on the left front brakes. Should I buy new ones? Can I buy new ones??
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

When I was building my '82 cb750F, I went to Zedno cycle for a lot of parts. Great cycle salvage yard, prices are fair. Only problem I had was they are in Kitchener. I would make a list of parts I needed and call ahead to see what they had. They would always call me back within a couple days and let me know what they had and how much. 99% of the time they had what I needed, then I would make the drive out there.

F.S. Motorcycle is a gta shop that was also a great help. The guys name is Glen. Very helpful. Sells mostly aftermarket parts for vintage bikes.

I would get new parts from www.vintagecb750.com (which doesnt really help you). I haven looked but maybe there is a GS site that carries parts.

Also try http://www.partsnmore.com/ Tons of stuff for Japanese motorcycles.

Good luck with the build.

You might want to be careful with them. I don't have any first hand experience, but I've seen enough complaints about them in the Reviews section to make me concerned. Again, I can't say for myself, but it's worth noting.

Really? That's troubling, I did just buy some used parts from them this morning, though. Anywhere else in KW that you would recommend?

Again, I don't have any first hand experience as that isn't really my area. What I can say is everyone seems to be a big fan of bluestreakracing.ca. It's sort of your area, depending on how you define it. I'm not sure how much they'll be able to help with the parts you're looking for, but it's worth knowing about.

This is the thread I was thinking of:

Try Cycle tech in Guelph no personal experience but have heard good things. They used to be called Matts motorcycles should be reasonably priced for an old bike like yours.

Welcome!
