Ok so i cleaned my brake pistons put new dust seals. put the calipers back on , filled the brake fluid.

i am pumping the lever but i cannot get any fluid to fill the lines. nothing is coming out the bottom either and there is no back pressure on the brake lever.

any suggestions? thanks

If you don't have a vaccume bleeder than just keep pumping the way you normally would, eventually you'll get pressure it just takes some time.

Princess Auto sells a vacuum bleeder for ~$40, works great for a once in a while job

I've got a power fist bleeder and its been working great for 4 years. My Canadian tire $125 unit was garbage after a year, once the pump got some brake fluid in it that was it.

You can also make one yourself using an empty plastic bottle and clear hose from Home Depot:

open the bleeders, leave the cap off, keep filling. may take 10 min but will come out.

+1 gravity is a wonderful thing.

Once you have fluid flowing through then you may need to bleed the master cylinder as well.

If you can't get fluid flowing with gravity open the bleeder on one of the calipers and use your finger tip as a check valve. Place your finger tip over top of the open bleeder, pull master lever in, remove finger (feel for puff of air), replace finger on bleeder, release lever and repeat.
