Bought a bike, waiting on prep

Just purchased bike, sending in insurance so the dealership can register it. waiting on reply. How long do dealerships usually take until the bike is ready for pickup?

For me, dealership got insurance info on a Thrusday, bike got delivered on the Saturday.

AFAIK you don't need insurance to have the bike delivered. I had my bike delivered before I even had my M1. As far as PDI or an inspection/service on a used/demo bike it shouldn't take longer than a couple days

I'm going to venture to guess that the bike is financed, so it's not abnormal at all for a dealership to want to ensure full coverage is in place before delivering. If they're handling the plating as well (as it was mentioned they are) the *need* the insurance details otherwise getting plates is impossible.

brought mine in January took until April to prep. But that was back in 2004. it was also financed.

Yes i got the R3! hopefully riding it home from the dealership by tomorrow or friday if we dont end up getting a snow storm or drenching rain.

i did ask lol as said "waiting on reply". I was just asking the community before I got a response so I could see what the norm is. anyway i found out now so its all good
