I'm hoping anyone with experience with these bikes can give me some insight - Looking to get new pipes and a K&N right away, just not sure what pipes. I'm thinking the arrow 2-1 - any other suggestions? Also, does anyone know if the Billy Bar highway pegs from New Bonneville will fit with the Arrow 2-1? I haven't been able to find an answer on this ANYWHERE.

Absolutely love this bike so far. It's a lot different than my previous bikes (04 z750, 93 zx7, 03 gs500) but I'm ready to start modding it a little. After pipes and a new seat what would you recommend? Also, any suggestions for seats? The Sixty8 one looks good. Thanks for your input.

Congrats man...I've heard the seat is hard but oem isn't? I'd like clubman type bars on it if it were me.

Congrats on the gorgeous bike. Why the K&N though (I always prefer stock filters)?

Fantastic bike....I am recently in love with a Bonneville SE and Guzzi V7 Classic. Airtech makes some cool correct style fibreglass, and Hepko Becker makes some great looking racks and hard bags that suit it very well.
With a retro upper fairing, a 7" HID, and some hard luggage, the Bonny would make a fantastic sporty tourer...and with it's 17" wheels, everything from knobbies to sporty rubber, to slicks is available. Lots of personality and torque, and enough hp..maybe. A cam, exhaust, filters, and a 904cc big bore kit will get you to 80 hp at the wheel.

As for exhaust, both Arrow and D&D make 2 into one systems for it, as well as others making 2 into 2 stuff.
Much of the stuff for the Thruxton fit as well.

Thanks guys. I ended up ordering the Arrow 2-1 pipes today, so worst case scenario I'll have to get some custom made highway pegs later on. Yeah I've been on all the triumph forums, it seems nobody has tried setting the bonneville up with the arrows and highway pegs. Pics to come when I get these pipes installed.

That Arrow system looks real nice.... Sorry I can't help you with the fitment question (highway pegs). Never had them on my '01 with TOR's, though it would have been nice to stretch out a little on some of the longer trips. I also ran the stock seat, so no idea on comfort levels of the others, but I liked the stock profile.

Just wanted to chime in and say you have a very capable bike there. I often miss mine (sold it 2 seasons ago after many thousand km). Took me anywhere and everywhere with style and without trouble (except that of my own making). Have fun with it - it's great at embarrassing/astonishing sport-riders in the twisty bits.

Maybe I'll see you out there...
