Bought a 1992 KAWASAKI NINJA ZX7 for my first bike...

Biggest mistake of my life. I dont really know how to work the choke and control the carb. But anyways, the first time i drove it i stalled alot but got the hang of it even tho the idle is outta wack. I drove it to work. On break i wanted to buy a red bull and I stupidly didnt let the carb warm up. I was in a parking lot marking a turn and something happend and i ended up sliding on my right side, breaking off my rear brake mechanism and the foot pedal and mirror. So i drove it for the night with the broken items. The next day I brought my bike to my buddies house and his dad asked me to try it out. So i let him but i forgot to tell him about the broken brake pedal and everything. He took off fast with the messed up carb and when he went to hit the rear brake he realised it wasnt there and he got scared because he was coming at a stop sign fast. My bike ended up sliding 40 feet and him 20 feet... He cracked 2 ribs and broke 2 ribs and had major burns on his arm. This ended up sanding off major parts of the fairings and also broke the clutch change mechanism and the foot pedal on that side. My idea is to buy the parts and install them and then get the carbs cleaned and synchronised. ANY TIPS?

Wow.
Too much bike to start on.
You obviously don't have any of the technical knowledge to repair and maintain a motorcycle, so get a mechanic.
Repair the bike...then sell it and get something more appropiate to learn on, before you, your friends, and friend's dad get yourselves killed. Please.

He tried to brake with only the rear brake?

Poor bike....please, please just get rid of it. As-is or fixed by a mechanic. Your approach to the fact it's been crashed twice and your friend's dad has broken ribs and rash is scary to say the least.

typical "noob starting on a bike that's too much to handle" thread...

this is my first bike as well, but obviously you have no respect to the 120 hp on the 400lb frame, how can you lend a broken bike to someone? are you posting this to make yourself look bad?

if i were you i would sell that bike and start with something WAY smaller. i mean no disrespect when i say this but you sound a bit immature to start off on that bike. its not a toy bike ... you will hurt yourself badly!!! please do yourself that favor

What kind of a rider (your friends dad) gets on a bike without first testing brakes and giving it a general once over!!? Sheesh...

the same kind of rider that uses the rear brake exclusively

It's not about using rear brake exclusively, it's about checking the bike before riding it (any bike!) and using the brakes properly. I hope you won't get into situation when you will have to brake and will realize that you have no rear brake and you coming way too hot into the corner.

Wow, the auction has already started! Just checked out kijiji and it's quite an expensive bike (when in good condition).

Cam...I know most of the posts in this thread sound like hating.......but in truth it''s a little more like tough love. None of us want to read your name in the Fallen Rider's section.
It's exciting to start riding.....For me that was almost 30 yrs ago now, and I still recall how awesome it was. I would find any excuse to ride. I would even use the bike to go pick up a pizza order, just to go for another ride.
But, much like parents, we who have ridden for yrs, have literally thousands of yrs of riding experience, collectively. Do your best to weed thru the drivel, and derive as much good information as you can. To run, you must first walk, and before that, crawl. If you are committed, you will learn and enjoy motorcycling. We wish you the best of luck.

Check out dealers section - there is a thread called 'junk yards'. There are a couple dozen (or more) junk yards in Ontario. Start calling them for parts. You should be able to get all/most of the parts easily there. Then check out local craigslist/kijiji ads, 'parts' section of this forum. Of course, check out ebay. You can also scavenge forums like stuntlife and stuntride. I wish I had the money to buy a good lowsided bike like this and fix it!!
