Got commitments in the USA and have to cross over in the Niagara area. Leave Saturday return Sunday. Should I pack a lunch? Definately not doing any shopping.

Be oh so very careful and stay frosty. The drivers are worse than the tramplers. Not sure how bad it'll be getting over, a lot of people left yesterday and today.

good luck. the mental illness of black friday has swept this nation

Just go very early in the morning... and yeah, Lewiston bridge should be your last option out of three.

The past few times I've crossed into the states have been at the Rainbow Bridge, I've pretty much driven straight up to the customs guy each time

If you must cross i recommend fort erie. A little longer on the highway but its usually the least busy out of the bunch.

i went shopping today, crossed the rainbow bridge at 1pm and then crossed lewiston back at 5pm.

the bridges were empty. the customs officer said he was surprised how quiet it was, and said it was quiet as black friday is becoming more popular in Canada so less border crossing and the sales go on for 3 days now so spreads it out. i was at harbour freight and it was fairly quiet.

i wouldnt want to do walmart. i would expect the weekend to be much worse.

FWIW crossed at NF Rainbow bridge about noon Saturday and only had 1 or 2 cars in front of us and no hassle. Coming back about noon Sunday we crossed at Lewiston and had about 30 minute wait but we were joking around so it didn't seem that bad. The guy at the border asked the usual and it was mentioned we went over for a birthday celebration (My wifes) and he wished her a happy birthday as we kidded back and forth. All in all a good weekend.

Went over on Wednesday and returned this afternoon. Very quiet compared to last year.
