News has come out about the crash. Speedboat climbed up on the back of a fishing boat killing the occupants. High speeds suspected. Locals on the lake interviewed. None of them knew the guy, but everyone knew the boat. Buddy is in a world of **** now.

His (now deleted) FB post during the week spouting off about letting 'er rip on the lake this weekend with a pic of a Corona on the dash ain't going to help his case any.

Sad event.
Looking at his FB post and then the end result, we can easily see why you shouldn't put the hammer down...

He is literally one of one thousand cottage country twats that bomb off your dock on jet skis , smoke at 50mph through narrow channels and my favourite steer coming into the harbour while looking backwards talking to guests . 95% of this crap is completely avoidable

if that's how the boats came to rest... like shown in the pic..
How fast do you think he was going? I would think if he was really "on it".. that his boat would have been further on top of the other boat, or gone over it.. more damage, etc..?

Just guessing at impact he would start pushing the other boat so he would ride up on it and not fly right over. Once he got to the point where the engine skeg caught it would slow things up . Lot of powerboats would run bow up but that boat at speed would be flat on the water , how he hit that fishing boat is 100% pilot error . Will be interesting to hear the story . Such an avoidable mess

It seems the fishing boat was tied up to an old dock with lights off (allowed if docked). Also the speedboat owner seems to be well known among the local residents and not in a good way. This is the local grape vine news.

The criminal case is long over... Brian Greenspan handled that.
He is a good name to remember.... If you have a need and deep pockets.

Lots of people around here are well ****** off by this guy. He's a local contractor and several locals knew he had a drinking and boating proclivity.

Don't forget, the fishing boat has an outboard up inside that hydroplane somewhere (or broken off).
