Several months ago I purchased a set of Rocket sprockets from Lennie (http://www.boxer-performance.com/order.html).
"The Rocket Sprockets are 9 degree advance cam timing sprockets to fit all BMW R series twins, the cam in head models from R850 to R1200 up to and not including the twin cam models. These sprockets move the torque peak 800 to 1,000 rpm lower in the rev range improving throttle response and less need to downshift for all types of riding".
I made the purchase based on comments that I read on another board and it seemed like the perfect solution for my style of riding which kept the revs under the powerband in most situations. This seemed ideal, shift a few more ponies down the tach to where I would actually use them.
Well summers over and seat of the pants says they work. I am not the best rider nor am I the fastest but I do like that extra bit of oomph. All in all a very worthwhile modification in my opinion and really quite reasonable.
Comes with complete instructions for the DIY enthusiast and Lennie's support if needed. I wimped out, Owen at Endras installed them and charged 1 hour labour.
Check out the link above, if you have any questions email him, very nice gentleman to deal with. He has just reduced his prices for International orders.
