Anyone updated their crackberry? The new interface is so much quicker....and crisper too

what update are you referring to? and for what model?

Yeah I just plugged in mine and nothing was availible

I upgraded my Bold to OS6 about 2 months ago..I like it. I was a little worried about the wi-fi settings and data but I switched to an unlimited data plan in the meantime and that was no longer an issue. Boots faster..graphics are faster. Overall, I'm happy. I kinda liked the old calendar more for quick checks..but this one has more info available. The only other thing I'm worried about is device storage space. I'm kinda creeping up on the limit..have to watch that.

Updated mine last night.

A few new minor features, but nothing ground breaking.

Drunken RIM staff force flight diversion, ordered to pay $71,000 restitution

Air Canada flight File shot: Two men who's drunken brawling aboard and Air Canada flight forced it to be diverted, have been orded to pay $71,000 restitution.

VANCOUVER Two drunken Research In Motion employees forced an Air Canada flight from Toronto to Beijing to make an unscheduled stop in Vancouver, disrupting travel plans of more than 300 people.
George Campbell, 45, of Conestogo, Ont., and Paul Alexander Wilson, 38, of Kitchener, pleaded guilty to one charge of mischief in Richmond Provincial Court Wednesday.
They were each given suspended sentences and one year’s probation, and ordered to pay restitution to Air Canada of $35,878 each, and barred from having any contact with Air Canada crews or flying that carrier during the probation period.
RIM issued a statement saying: “Based on the limited information available at this time, RIM has suspended the individuals involved pending further investigation.”
It is unclear what positions Campbell and Wilson held, and RIM declined to say anything beyond its statement.
The incident began Monday night aboard a non-stop flight from Toronto to Beijing, where the unruly passengers consumed “too much alcohol” and “disobeyed” the flight crew, according to Richmond RCMP.
The Boeing 777 aircraft, carrying 314 passengers and 17 crew members was already north of Alaska, when the pilots decided to turn the plane around to unload the passengers.
After forcibly restraining the two men, the crew notified the RCMP at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, and the plane landed at about 10:21 p.m. in Vancouver.
Richmond RCMP officers were waiting at the airport to arrest the men: “They weren’t necessarily fighting. They were just simply being unruly in their drunken state,’ said Corporal Sherrdean Turley in an interview. “And in that state, they just simply weren’t listening to any direction that the flight crew was giving them.”
Because the daily direct flight between Toronto and Beijing extends for 13 hours, any unscheduled stop would put the flight crew — four pilots and 13 flight attendants — beyond the number of hours they are allowed to fly for health and safety reasons.
But the airline could not immediately get a flight crew to the Vancouver airport, so passengers were put up in a hotel overnight and then flew on to Beijing on Tuesday, arriving 18 hours late.
Another passenger aboard the plane says Campbell and Wilson were fighting with the flight attendants, prompting the crew to subdue them.

MAN, I've been running OS 6 for almost a year now. I had a leaked version. I thought it was something new and exciting. You got my hopes up for nothing.

Same here. Oh well.

the OS6 i think is better for the new blackberry bold that has the touch screen...when you have the touchpad, the menus and anything that can be highlighted, i find it flies all over the screen...i use a 9780, i prefer the style of the older os, they should have set an option for that...one other thing that bugs me is that the crappy carriers when updating the os from 5 to 6 like to overwrite some settings rather than leaving them they way the user had them...bell changes your wallpaper, on top of which, they change it to a crappy one...then the user asks me where their wall paper is and i gotta hunt the pic they had, a small annoyance, but still...it's hit and miss, some people like, some people dont, and rim don't give you much option...

Yeah..I didn't think it was spectacular or anything. I'm glad it's faster in most cases. The browser is better. Nothing revolutionary really.

I noticed they improved a few features like the search function and other little things.

Didnt really notice any improvement in speed.
