& Do you want the opinion of a renter a landlord or somebody that does not give a ****
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this seems to target tenants who got ****** during COVID and can't pay rent?

I noticed the 12 month dispute thing for illegal rent increases as well, but that's beneficial for everyone (fight the ******* illegal rent ASAP, don't procrastinate.)
 
I haven't read it and the devil is in the details. Residential tenancy has needed a substantial revision for a very long time (as a start, there needs to be a database that landlords can search so professional dirtbag tenants can not continue to play the system and victimize landlords). It sounds like 184 may improve some things and make others worse. Without personally reading it, I have no opinion as to where it lies on the balance.
 
looks like they snuck through some extra items
a wish-list from landlords
in addition to a remedy for the pandemic back rents

some of it sounds nasty
but in all cases the tenant is still entitled to a hearing @ LTB
a body that is heavily weighted in favour of tenants

tenants have always had the right to give notice and leave
if they find themselves under the roof of a bad landlord
there are no seat belts
