Bike won't start.. battery problem?

Hi guys, I'm new here, first time posting. I bought a 2005 Suzuki S50 last week used, and it started up fine. After unloading it off the trailer at my house, I tried to start it up again and it just wouldn't work. All the lights work, the horn works, the dash is lit up, but when i try to start it there is just silence...I charged the battery overnight and the charger indicated the battery had a full charge. When I tried to start it again the next day, the exact same thing happened: all lights and everything work, but silence when trying to start it. I'm not forgetting any of the basics (clutch in, kickstand up, neutral, killswitch, etc.). I have no idea what the problem is, but I have a hunch that it is the battery... I'm confused because it was working fine when I bought it, and a couple hours later it wouldn't start..I'm also thinking maybe something could have loosened while transporting it but it was a soft drive and everything looks fine.

Anyways, any advice is MUCH appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Here is a reply I got from one of my posts asking about where I can get my bike serviced. I never been there yet so I don't have an opinion on them. You can try giving them a call and telling them whats up.

Well .. If you're under warranty, i'd recomend a dealer, just go in, speak to some of the service guys, see if you get a good vibe from them !

If you're not in warranty, definetely deal with Z1 Cycletech in Richmondhill/Thornhill.

You can speak with Glenn, he's a very stand up guy and is always in it to help you out ! HIs mechanics are top notch too, I took a tour of the shop, they keep that place looking good as new ! Very clean shop !

No click from the starter relay, nothing? If so, it must be something in the safety interlock circuit. Kill switch, sidestand switch, clutch switch, gearshift. A low or bad battery would at least get a click from the starter solenoid, and the lights would dim as it tried to start. No sound at all means that it's something else, not the battery. Call the former owner and see if he has any tips.

Agreed. Time to buy a volt meter and learn how to use it. Check youtube for how to. Once you master that you can troubleshoot any vehicle and save huge bucks.
