Bike won't start after charging battery ?

Throughout winter, I had my bikes battery on a constantly charging trickle charger. I recently took down my CBR125 and put the battery in. It doesn't start, all it does it make this strange buzzing/ticking noise near the right side of the tail light? The headlights aren't turning on as well.

Is it possible that I may have damaged the battery by overcharging?

In theory a trickle charger won't cook a battery through overcharging... if it's meant for powersports batteries. If you used an automotive trickle charger, it will still put out enough current to boil a bike battery.

If it's a Cbr 125 it's probably maintenance free. Is the ticking more of a clicking then if so your battery is ******. And old ****** battery can be on tender all winter and still die, especially if it's **** like a koyo brand. Just take your battery to crappy tire and ask them to load test it, if it fails get a new one, probably cheap seeing as it's a smaller battery. And do your self a favour and buy a yuasa if u need a new battery. I have had one in my ninja 250 for four years now, never trickle charged just left in bike all winter and worked great.

Did you put the battery in backwards?
Do you have a digital potentiometer to check the fuses and relays?
Alternator dead?
Live wire being grounded?

Whoever fixed your gas tank by draining the oil out of it, make sure they reconnected the electrical plugs to the fuel pump inside it.

Thanks guys I'll bring it to canadian tire to get it checked out. It still turned on after I drained the fluid. Worst case scenario hopefully is that I'll need to get a new battery. Shouldn't be too expensive right?

No they aren't and Yuasa is a good brand, but really, don't take it to Canadian Tire. Take it to a Honda Powersports or one of the shops that are popular here.

What exactly do you mean by "drained the fluid"?

I have a cheap Koyo battery running for 4yrs now. Never trickle charge. Running heated gear & gps

***UPDATE***

I bought a battery from Honda for $180.
Put the battery in. This time something new happens. It turns on as it regularily would
would. I take the engine kill switch off and I can hear the fuel injection.
Then I pressed the ignition switch and it makes a click noise and my lights turn off and everything is dead it continues making that rapid buzzing noise again
... What could be wrong here!? My bike was fine before it was winterized.

Find out from someone with a CBR, maybe BrianP how/if there is a way to make it flash DTC (diagnostic trouble codes) on your instrument cluster by counting the flashes to give you an idea as to which module the bike thinks is acting up. Suzukis have this and I'm sure Hondas do too.

I wonder if there is a short in the ignition switch. Everything works and the pump pressurizes until you press the starter.

Use a voltmenter to check if the starter is getting 12V when the starter button is pressed.
Make connections at starter are clean and tight. Look for evidence of rodent chewing on wiring too.
