Hey guys and gals, It a great trackday yesterday but I started having an issue, where coming out of the hairpin in the back straight at Shannonville I would be in 2nd gear I would rev to 10000rpm and the bike would cut out like a stall rev limiter would go to 0 and I had to pull over off track bike turn on and off fine. this happened to me 5 times but was able to start the bike back up again before the corner at the end of the straight. Engine runs fine no hesitation on start up.

2005 CBR600RR, K/N filter, Jardine slip-on. 34xxxkm sparkplugs done at 10000km.

I really want to fix this issue, as I might do riderschoice last trackday of the season on the 16th.

Tip over sensor? is it bolted down right? plugged it all the way? working?

edit: never mind, reread your post. thought you said coming into the hairpin..

I just used electrical tape to hold the bank sensor to the fairing stay as I just put on my track fairings. would that cause it.

check to make sure its still in the same spot. could be a simple fix..

does it have to be oriented in a specific direction?

should be an arrow and the word UP on it.

A long shot, but..
Is this bike EFI? Motorcycles aren't my main thing, but I see this with weak cylinder position sensors. If the position sensor wiring is flakey or corroded it can't handle the reluctance sensor signal above a specific RPM.

If you can replicate it....its easy to find the issue.

I can replicated it happened to me almost every lap on the back straight.

Have you tried hitting 10000rpm in other gears to see if the same happens? And check your battery. One of the nuts fell off my bike and everytime I hit a certain rpm it would shut off because the screw would lose contact; took me awhile to figure that one out lol
