... Or on the way to Pittsburgh from GTA.

Yeah, I know our dollar sucks now but I'm heading down there anyhow so wanted to take a peak. I have yet to see a nicely stocked US store with good prices.

I found Cycle Gear through search function here but just for comparison, a TKC-80 front tire is actually cheaper from Pete's Superbike, even though CG claim theirs is on sale.

I'm mainly looking for said tire and some MX or adventure boots.

did you try g00gle??? works pretty good

I drove to Kentucky where motorcycle superstore is they have a sell off store attached to the main warehouse they ship from all over the place. Great deals on all gear. Plus you can order off website and they just walk back into main warehouse ad bring it. Not much further a drive.

I was in California a few weeks ago, checked out three dealerships, and none of then had decent gear - they all gave up trying to compete with online sales.

That kind of has been my experience so far. I've picked 2 stores in Pittsburgh to sample (won't be enough time for more) but I don't have any high hopes.

Pittsburgh Cycle Center
MJ Bohn Cycle Shop

I was irrationally thinking that maybe since they have good prices on clothing they would have good pricing on motorcycle gear in PA.

Columbus is not super far from Pittsburgh but not at all on the way.
Kentucky is double the trip and I will not have that kind of time.
But thanks for suggestions, I'll check out those spots next time I'm closer to them.

Iron pony is double the prices of superstore we went to iron pony after going to ama museum and they raved about iron pony. Glad we waited till we got to motorcycle superstore we thought it was only a outlet for them but turns out that where the main warehouse is so they have a huge part of sell offs stuff had some race suits I think they were $500 brand name but forget the name. Picked up chain and sprockets for my 05 sv 650s for $140. A helmet that 349 here I paid 219. It's worth the drive.
