Bike stolen...

Posting for a friend.
I know there probably isn't any point and it's long gone and stripped by now but red/black cbr 1000rr taken from apartment underground parking in Pickering yesterday afternoon.
Bike was locked up, covered and in plain sight of a security camera. (Waiting to here if they got any fotage)

even insured, on a nearly new bike you still take a bit of a kick I would think. I'm sorry for his loss.
 
That sucks. Sorry to hear.
 
Damn thats a nice clean looking bike. Hope they don't get screwed by insurance and hope the perp gets caught.

take note.. nothing you can do can prevent someone from stealing your Bike.
If a thief wants your bike, they will get no matter what you think will stop it.

the best defense, is Theft Insurance.

becasue at least then you'll get something other than pieces of a Cut chain or in your parking spot.

Sorry to the dude that lost their bike...
But look at the bright side, at least it happened befopre the season begins, so you'll have time to shop for something else

Very true, but the person will still take a good kick in the balls in order to buy a new bike, unless they go older than what they had.
 
Plus the 1g deductible, definitely a hit.
I know he's not getting it back but if anyone comes across some CBR rr parts in the next couple months a heads up will be appreciated.

Perhaps don't park it in an underground parking garage where 95% of the thefts occur. That or paint it pink :lmao:


Sad thing is we're gonna see another 50 of these threads over the summer, and every single poster will be surprised that his/her bike got stolen from a condo/apartment...
 
I had one stolen in a condo years back. The cops had the guy on video couldnt get a decent image of the guy with the crappy video cameras. Dont get your hopes up. Nothing including gps systems will stop thieves, their art is removing these systems. They are only deterants. Park in a personal garage is your best bet.

How did you make out with the insurance claim is the more important question here.

I.e. How much of a hit did you have to take?
