These stands are on sale in CT starting tomorrow for $75/pair (bike not included). Details here.

Edit: It has been brought to my attention that these stands are not of very high quality and will not easily fit every bike. They may also be on sale even cheaper elsewhere or at some other time. Be prepared to return them to CT if they don't satisfy your requirements. Also, I don't have them and don't need them - please don't ask for any more details.

Edit 2: I decided to rename the thread since it turned into a general discussion about bike stands with a lot of useful info and photos.

Do yourselves a favor and get a good quality stand. How much will it cost to fix the fairing, pegs and handlebar when you drop the bike....a lot more than $75!

Get a Pit Bull stand with the forward handle so you don't have to monkey around balancing the bike and possibly drop it. The best and easiest stand I have ever used. If there is a better one please let me know.

That's nice, I have to admit :). The CT ones probably don't even come close for track day use, but they may be adequate for winter storage, washing, minor repairs, etc. I'm all for using proper tools for the job, but there are certain uses a 3X more expensive tool is simply not warranted for. Anyway, thanks for the input - it will help people make an informed decision.

Been using the rear stand for a while now... no problems at all.

The front needs to be rejigged to fit correctly, but IMO they are no better or now worse.

I move the bike around the garage on these things, sit on them, and plain ole don't take it easy, never even had a close call.

I would recommend them... but like I said, the front usually needs a tad of re-tooling to fit properly.

Although that pitbull definitely looks easier to use when alone.

Likewise I've got CT version. Me too had to jump up and down on the front stand to 'adjust' it narrower. It's designed to be adjusted tho.

And I don't have the nerve to put it on the rear stand unassisted.

Can I used those on an EX250?

You probably don't have to. Doesn't the EX250 have a centrestand?

My old EX500 had a centrestand. It didn't have an area where I could put spools in the springarm, but there is a rear stand that's universale. It has these pegs that sort of hold the swingarm from underneath, instead of by the spools.

The way those front stands are angled makes getting the front wheel up a ton of fun for 2 people. Ken and i had a blast when he returned the bike, in -10 degree weather

Try Royal Distributing. IIRC they had cheap universal stands last season.

I've been using this stand for 2 years now and they are fine... The front one could of been designed better but there's absolutly nothing wrong with the rear one.

Likewise. No problem with the rear stand. The front one is a bit sketchy.

Buy them, try them and return them if they don't satisfy/fit.

For those with a slightly deeper pockets and requirement for a better product check Riders Choice. They had some nice ones last season. I don't remember the price but I remember it wasn't unreasonable.

Cheaper than CT you probably won't find, unless you make them yourself.

I bought a pair last, They come with 4 pairs of nice aluminum swingarm spools. No Problem with the rear. But because my SV has unequal length lower forks I had to cut down and reweld one side. They work great for maintenance and winter storage.. Good for the price.

Stand works fine for me as well. (Using it on an R6.) If it's just to keep your bike off the ground in your backyard or in the garage I don't see a need for anything more expensive.

Agreed. There are a lot of good stands out there for relatively little money, (I used some Hindle stands for years).

But those shiny Pit Bull's are so hard to resist.... they're really nice.
