There may be something wrong - yes
It may be just you - yes.

When did you last calibrate your butt dyno?

i never got it dynoed, its a brand new bike, it was fine before, now it feels weird, the revs keep going higher, but its not picking up speed as fast as it used to

I had that problem with my second gear once.....you could be grinding / wearing down your gear and or clutch.

It took about 6 weeks to wear it down so bad I just had to skip it and go from first to third. The problem was stuck or seized plates due to the springs being stuck or not recoiling properly.

The onset is pretty slow at first. The first week you would swear the bike feels slower and takes longer to accelerate. The 2nd week you will know for sure what gear it is happening in and there will be a noticible lag but once it is in gear it is ticking along nicely. By the 3rd and 4th weak you will notice when blipping the throttle even when fully engaged the bike revs high and does nothing! For me this was all in 2nd gear. By the 6th week the gear is toast and you just skip it.

If it is happening through all the gears it's your clutch. If it is noticibly getting worse by the day....I suspect it is a worn clutch. If it's a used 09, the guy before you could have worn it out, and if it was you but you babied it, it could be a defect.

My problem was with a zx6r. It was 3 months past warrenty, but Kawi graciously fitted the bill for all parts!

If it's a gear issue, cost could run to $1000 to $1200 if not under warranty. Burnt clutch could be $500 ish.

its a new bike, and im not really sure how much clutch freeplay i have, i was talking to someone, and hes like its something to do with the torque, and something to do with the pressure or compression

Could be, but it's unlikely. If you have no free play on the clutch lever, it would cause a premature wearing of the clutch. The symptom would be clutch slipping, which is like what you're seeing.
Another possibility is that your clutch cable is simply too tight and your clutch doesn't fully engage. In this case adding some slack may fix the problem.

compression or pressure, dont let anyone tampure with your bike! do the revs climb faster than the bike? this probablily your clutch, you need 2-3 mm of gap at the lever to be sure of compelet disengagement, so your clutch is closed and not dragging.

lol, this is actually a hilarious diagnosis... who did you ask, someone at Crappy Tire?

This is most likely a clutch adjustment as everyone else mentioned. A cluth burnt out would not onset that quickly if you feel it happened all of a sudden or from one season to the next... burning those guys out would be gradual. Have you adjusted your levers recently or has anyone else screwed with your bike that could've changed your lever settings? There is a dial on your clutch lever, turn that and see if it helps.. if it does then its your cable freeplay and you can adjust that by the nuts down on the right side by your foot beside your oil cap. You should be able to pull the lever a bit without the clutch disengaging (maybe a few mm, nothing significant). This will ensure that the cable is allowing the plates to fully engage. If it's still doing that, then somehow your plates have burnt out and you'll need to replace them.. this sounds completely like a clutch issue.
