First off, I have to say that the guys at Brampton Powersports are a class act. Eddie and Ian, thanks for all your help. Ian turned up with my new 2011 CBR250R this morning, gave me the walk around and answered all my questions. I'm hoping the service is equally as good when I bring it in for maintenance. (Sorry about the large pics)

Now, I'm just waiting for a warmer day to take it to a big parking lot and find that friction zone. Thankfully, I have an experienced rider to give me some lessons before RTI in April.

Congrats man, 250R is a sweet ride. Good on you for keeping a level head and not starting on a 600RR.

Congrats. It looks awesome. New bike day is like every christmas you ever had as a kid rolled up into one. I'm jealous!

Congrats on the new bike!

Any reason you didn't take advantage of the free winter storage from BPS (when you purchase a bike)? Just curious: mine is there waiting for spring.

Congrats! I bought mine with Ian as well seems like a good guy and would def recommend him.
Mine's sitting there just waiting for me to pick it up in March! I can't frikking wait!

Thanks very much everyone. It *IS an exciting day.

int15, I have the storage space at home, and I'm hoping to get some parking lot time in over the next couple months on those odd sunny and warmer days. It's killing me right now that I can't take it out, but it's nice to know that I can go admire it whenever I please.

On a separate note, I just peeled off all the nasty warning stickers on the gas tank, cleaned it up with some bug'b'gone, and installed the battery tender. She's all ready for her first sleep at her new home!

Yay new bike! The little CBR is awesome. Great for commuting and long rides (my r6 makes me hurt after awhile).

CBR250 ftw! (and nicer looking than the fugly Ninja...)

X

I hear ya! I just received the USB cable to plug in the GPS and regret not having the bike in the garage to install it.

I did have several people tell me that I would outgrow this bike too fast, but I think it's the perfect place to start. To be honest, it's the 1300cc Yamaha Stryker that I long to ride one day. And my buddy is already giving be the gears for buying a pair of cruiser-style black leather overpants to wear while riding the CBR.

Sweet bike. If I ever scrap HD I'd like to get a smaller, no fuss bike like this.

Do NOT listen to those people, we have names for them...not...nice names.

Cause that means it isn't at home where you can stare at it, sit on it, paddock stand race it, polish it over and over again, start it, shut it off and re start it, buy parts for it etc etc.

Beautiful bike... love the colour.

I remember the day my bike was delivered. It was a nice warm and sunny day... I took the day off of work early. I bought mine over the internet, so the first time I saw it was when the bike was rolled off of the enclosed trailer. The pictures I received in my email from the dealer did not do the bike justice.

Looking back at that day puts a big smile on my face, and knowing you're going through the same joy at the moment makes me happy for you. Congrats!!!!

You will want to upgrade quite soon because you will "feel that you're ready to upgrade", but it doesn't mean that you will outgrow that bike. Big difference between these two things.
