Breitling, TAG and Tissot have some pretty nice looking Big watches. Porsche Design as well.

Breitling --> Seems like I'd have to be an accoutant to wear that.

TAG --> Accountant with a porshe

Tissot---> Hmm gotta look into that....

thanks!

I got into watches after high school. I told myself, why not get a watch to mark each timeline. Get it? A watch, timeline? :)

My watches are not expensive but they still work and keeps an accuracy of 20secs a year, well my Citizen.

I have a basic citizen for everyday use with a metal band and water resist to 100m. I've had it for 9yrs, lol. Come to think about it I can't believe it. It's Solar powered and never had to replace a battery for 9yrs. That thing never stopped, even in winter where there is no sunlight and I wear a long sleeve most of the day. I have swim, dive, snorkel, wrench, wash my hands everyday with that watch.

After that one, I fell in love with another citizen, which was a perpetual calender/titanium band. If u love lightness and are not allergice to Ti, get the Ti, they are light as plastic and will give years of use. This one still runs today, it has a stop watch, alarm, chrono and its all analog. I hardly ever wear this watch and it still runs. Whats impressive is when the charging is low, the watch will automatically shuts itself down but still remembers the time. When it is re-exposed to light, the hands automatically sets itself to the correct time. I see this happening in the winter where my sleeve is over my watch. I like seeing the hands get busy and find the exact time without a hiccup.

My major dissappointment is my Tissot T-touch. I got this watch for hiking and enjoying the outdoors. It can show temp, barometric pressure, altitude, chrono, compass. My beef with Tissot is that the temp is inaccurate and had send it back for warranty, they did not fix it and told me there is nothing they can do. I've never had that experience with a watch before. For the price I paid for the watch, I expected greater service, at least they could have replaced the watch. I need to replace the battery every 2yrs. If I had known I should've gotten the Casio Pathfinder, which is solar and has a log of barometric changes/altimeter changes. The only drawback for me is it has a very large face compared to my other watches.

My bro has some expensive Swiss watches and they have not been as reliable, He rests it down a few days and need to re-time them. Not for me, even though they may be hand-made, lol

If I were u, I would go for a watch which is automatic and has a sapphire lens (prevent scratches).

I'm looking into getting an Oris, Artellier skeleton watch. I like being able to see all of the mechanics of the watch and what they are doing.

Anyone know of any good watch shops which are reliable and also decently priced. I find great deals on the internet but you never know if the watches are real or not.

Also check out Fossil and Guess, both have good watchs, at very good prices.

There are a few watch shops at Pacific Mall that offer good prices. You can call the watch Co. with their Serial # to verify a watch. I think most swiss watches come with a certificate of authencity and a Serial #.

As for Fossils and Guess, thats like buying a laptop made by Ferrari

I'm a huge fan of my Gunship 51-30 chrono. I've always been a Nixon fan though, and am very brand loyal. It's a tank and I get compliments daily. I'd look into it if I were you for certain.

In the manual it says that your body temp throws the watch off. You need to take it off your wrist for 15 minutes to get a more accurate temperature. Did you lose your manual?

If you are going for a watch, go the extra step and get the one that gives you status.

Just saying.

I am fully aware of that.

Even try to google steps on how to calibrate it, but no luck.
If anybody wants a Tissot, I am willing to sell, new battery, lol
