Bickle Gloves? (Bickle GP Race Glove)

Has anyone here bought/used Bickle GP Race Gloves? I am due for new gloves so I am considering these. Thoughts?

I'll be buying a second pair this season and retiring last years. Why? Because for the price I can buy a new set every year instead of using crusty two year old gloves that cost me a fortune (and IMO aren't any better).

I bought a set of Bickle gloves last year as a back up for my RST gloves, wore them for a couple of times and are now nice and broken in. The RST's are a few years old now, and will only see street use from now on, will use Bickle's exclusively at the track this season.

I agree with Dricked comment about pricing, can't go wrong with these gloves at such a low price.

Happy to report the gloves held up fine during my crash this weekend. Grounded down on the knuckles vents as i was sliding but my hands and skin stayed cool and untouched.

Great gloves, crashed twice and they don't have any tears or holes. Anything bickle sells he puts alot of thought into it to ensure it keeps you as safe as possible and he won't sell un-safe products. Safety is his first priority.

Geez guys,, I really didn't need you to test them! I was hoping you would just wear them out riding.
But thanks for doing that for me! Glad everyone is okay.

Was thinking about getting a pair of these, but I'm really picky about fit (most gloves drive me batty).

There's a dealer that sells these gloves out in Oshawa, right? I'd like to give them a try.

How heavy are these - good in summer?

IT is not a "summer" glove. Sorry it is a track glove or a glove designed for performance riding. It is reinforced and has a cuff so it can get on the track. It has minimal venting as venting is building in a weakness. We don't have any dealers carrying our gloves. They are 1.2 mm and that is typically heavy for a glove today. But the lighter your get in a glove means thinner leather. Thinner leather means it is reinforced with something synthetic. That measn it does not stretch. So a leather glove will stretch and fit if it has no reinforcement.

That doesn't sound as bad as you might think it does to me.

I prefer softer gloves with multiple layers (at least some padding on the palm and some extra protection for the knuckles) and the all-leather construction of your gloves sounds much better to me than the usual gloves with hard armoured bits (I find that sort of glove to be pretty uncomfortable). I don't typically use gloves with vents or holes, nor do I typically use single-layer gloves. I also prefer cuffed gloves even in summer as that just integrates with my coat better.

I don't specifically want a "summer" glove (i.e. thin as anything with no protection), I just mean can you tour with them on a sunny day with an average gear setup without them turning into sweatbags? :)

If yes, where can I try on a pair to see about fit and such?

They are comfortable, soft, light and as good as any other glove during hot days with the added benefit of having protection. I use mine on the street to commute to work daily.

See, that sounds good. Definitely interested in trying these on then.

+1. I ride with them all year long. Even at temperatures upwards of 30+, my hands feel cool and dry. If you get clammy/sweaty hands easily, that maybe a different story.

I sweat like crazy in them as with most gloves. Doesn't bother me any and actually helps the fit a little :D

You can catch us in the shop this week Monday,Tuesday, then Grand Bend for the SOAR round Wed to Sun. Then we have a weekend off and will be in the shop.
Every weekend we pretty much have a trackside event we service. If that doesn't work I can probably get a set to Speedworx's in Markham,,let me know what works.

What's the address of the shop? It's in Whitby, I think? Got a pile of work at the moment, but I might be able to get out next Monday or Tuesday (or is that your 'weekend' since you're working SOAR until Sunday?). Might even go to SOAR on Friday for a nice little afternoon trip if I'm lucky, but I'll see how things go.
