What would be the top 5 snowboarding boots for this new season for those who are really into it ?

And I want to spent more time in the park. What would be the best boards to choose for that ?

Tips and advices would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Chose a board in your price range for it's intended purpose then choose boots for that board.

Factors are skill level, weight and foot width (shoe size).

Best boots for speed are worst boots for park so narrow board down first.

The Nug is a perfect $500 dedicated park board that's better than you but it's only one example.

An all mountain board with park ability (flex) beats out most stuff for the hills this side of Canada.

I'm a Burton snob. I liked a lot of their stuff outside of the alumacore era but they aren't the only game in town....

In order of my preference:
  • Burton Love all around
  • Burton Vapor when I feel like being aggressive
  • Burton Fish when i'm out west

Don't necessarily buy a "park" board you should get out to some demo days and try a bunch out . Personal riding ability and style will dictate the board you feel most comfortable on pulling tricks.

+1 to this info....I personally ride a libtech skatebanana and love it all around but was working in a shop last few years and rode this current season's board. Selection..love the Burton line up this year, the sherlock is one of the best boards I've riden in years thumbs up to the EST binding system. As for boots, everybody's different but all the guys in the shop I was at rode salomon fusion series, myself included. Boot sizes over 11 usually required a wide specific board but due to the construction of these boots, they are usually 1-1.5 sizes shorter than most boots on the market at the same size...F20,F22,F24 = better park, solid speed performance. Jack of all trades, master of none. Hair's on fire, get to the bottoms with solid performance and control..

Skate Banana by Lib tech is a very good board, true twin, amazing for the park and all around, im rocking nitro anthem boots with the banana, with SLS, really like them.

Money aint really an issue over here. I just wanna know what's good right away for being 200 lbs with a size 9.5 foot !

I want to do both mountain and park but get a lil more into the park. I'd say Im an intermediate rider out there.

156 - 160 Burton Custom X with a pair of Ambush boots. Go with Rover or Hail boots if you want more flex but the Ambush are right down the middle.

Was looking at reviews on that board. Pretty interesting. Is there a specific boot to choose with that skate banana ??

I'm really liking the new Burton Custom. I've got the Custom from a few years ago and the new one is so much lighter I'm sure it's a better board in the park.

get a softer boot for softer board...skate banana is mid-soft park oriented board that can still be ridden all mtn. Maybe something like the nike kaiju.

i get whatever fits my feet best...

skate banana isn't exactly a noodle either. it's still considered an all-mtn board (at least when it coems to our hills here lol)

http://www.snowboardingforum.com/boots/39842-nike-kaiju-dk-zf1-stiffness.html ...its not a stiff boot, but you would've known this had you bothered to google it yourself. if you need a softer boot than that, there's also the nike vapen...i'm not pro nike or anything i just don't really know the other lineups that well.

the whole question of "what is best x?" is bogus anyways, you may as well ask what the best motorcycle helmet is...

snowboard tech is highly preferential and you won't know what you like until youve tried out tons of boards, bindings, and boots.

If you really want to get into the sport, come into my shop. Ask for Reed or Tom.
Say Elise is your friend from the online motorcycle forums and they will look after you. If you are a jerk - it will reflect poorly on me and I wont be willing to help anyone so be polite and respectful to my friends who work in snowboards please.

The shop is called Kenmark in Richmond Hill located at Yonge and Elgin Mills. I've been helping people off this site for years.
We don't have a lot left but there are some good deals right now. Don't expect to not pay $$. We are a higher end shop that doesn't sell you useless crap.

The guys know their stuff and will set you up with everything that's right for you - your style and where you're going with your riding.

The bundle I got came with a pair of Simms boots.... they're decent but could be a bit lighter. I'll suck it up with these for a year and buy a new pair next year (still a n00b).

These guys have a great store in Oakville (a little past Trafalgar), they also have an outlet across the street from their main shop where they sell used gear and the leftovers from the previous years at a noticeable discount. If you want the spankin new 2012/13 gear, the main shop will have it.

I had them service my board at the start of the season, they'll tag your board with a bar code and keep a profile in the system with all your info/riding preferences. The in-store service is top notch.
