Plus one for Leelas. And I'm a roti nut.

Ducky's is my friends suggestion, she says it is to die for! and as For Leela's .......speechlees ;)

i'm a die-hard Ghandi Indian Cuisine Roti fan

Roti is my favourite food - hands down. I regularly order food for my coworkers and so I get about 300 roti's a year!

Bacchus is best for inner city fare and overall quality of ingredients. Their veggie or shrimp is amazing and they also have a Jerk Roti.
Ghandi/Mother India and Roti time are all under the same owner and have the same menu - Indian style and very tasty (Saag Paneer is tops)
Ali's West Indian serves up a mean roti.
Vena's is a great small place and cheap. They give out about 1000 free roti's each year to support the community at Christmas.
Island foods is good too and cheap, but just needs a few more types of veggies in the mix.
Roti Roti is a great joint that serves up roti's with curried bok choi in them. Very good and very cheap, but a little far at Islington and Albion.

Talked to my buddy from Grenada, he recommended a place called Roti Palace at Bloor and Bathurst. Anyone been there or heard of it?

leave Toronto, come to Cori's on Speers rd in Oakville.
Made like your Grandma would have made them, if your granny was from the Carribean.

I would never buy a roti from a "Jamaican" shop since Jamaicans don't typically make roti. I rather authentic food.

My Guyanese friend has a shop at Jane st and Trethewey (S.S. Curry), she makes and sell fresh roti's there. Thats the only place I buy mine from.

I buy my roti's from indians and jerk chicken from my jamaicans.

+1000000

I've said that about as many times on this board. As well as it's more about the curry wrapped in the roti that makes it good not the roti itself.

If you are talking about roti and taste then u have to look at plain roti, dhal porri ( roti stuffed with split peas which is what you get when u order a curry and roti), potato roti ( roti stuffed with mashed potatoes).

I can eat the dhal porri wraps on their own. So yummy. Subscribed, wanna try out that S.S. Curry place.

No word of a lie, as I'm typing this a contractor came in and gave me a double. I am in heaven. Told him I loved him. lol
