Best place to buy memory

So I need to buy 2x2gb 200 pin SO-DIMMs for a 2007 macbook (Calistoga). The problem is that I need to have the upgrade done this evening so I don't have time to shop around a lot. Does anyone know of a good place west of the city or should I just bite the bullet and hope the kid at best buy knows enough to get me the right DIMMs?

try tigerdirect.ca, they have a store just behind sherway gardens, they tend to carry a lot of this stuff...they have another store further west in burlington too...

if you didn't smoke so much dope, you wouldn't lose your memory, remember hearing that before?

I looked at the apple website just to check the specs and they were selling 2gb sticks for $100!! Not a chance.

I checked the Tigerdirect website tho. The have a 800MHz 2gb stick for 29.99 and a 667MHz stick for 39.99. The computer has a 667 MHz FSB but it's my understanding that the 800MHz stick will work just fine. Are there any techies out there that can confirm this? I don't want to spend $20 for nothing.

faster speed is fine, it will run at the computer speed. what is important is that it is pc2 ddr2 notebook ram.

1: Canadacomputers.com
2: NCIX.com (Now have stores in Mississauga, Markham, and Scarborough)
3. Tigerdirect.ca

Personally never been a big fan of tigerdirect because they sell so much refurb garbage. However, they are around the same price as the other 2.

Went to Tigerdirect and got a NIB 2gb 800MHz DIMM for $30. In case anyone is interested (and I'm sure you're not) a macbook with a 667 MHz FSB will accept ONE 800MHz stick.....NOT two. You need to keep one 667 in there or the system will not recognize the ram. I have no idea why but it won't. So my gf's macbook is now running 2.5gb lol. She's happy and my pro is running 8gb so I don't care!!
Thanks for the help everyone!!!

I wish I could tell you. I went snooping in some mac forums and saw the same issue a few times. apparently macs are fussy.....who knew lol lol

I've seen all sorts of issues with various brands, i've seen where certain computers will crash if you put the same brand of ram in both slots.
