I have an overly large longish melon, anyone else have this gift? wondering what helmet is best for this head shape? I currently have an xlarge icon airframe but the top of my frontal lobes rub right into the air vent, literally, kinda sucks.any suggestions? and no I'm not getting a lobotomy.

Look up the reviews in Webbikeworld . They list the head shape in their reviews.
 
Take a trip to a shop with a large selection of helmets, like royal distributing, and try them on.
 
Sounds like you might have an AGV head lol. More like an egg shape. Give those a try. My agv fits my head great
 
The problem may be size more than shape. I thought I had a more oval head but the XL Shoei RF1000 didn't fit very well (45 minutes to forehead hotspots and numb ears. I moved to an XL Arai Quantum 2, which was a bit better (90 minutes to the same). Anything else was distinctly uncomfortable, even just pulling it on.

Turns out I needed an XXL, this time in an RF1100. No real issues since. I tried the Qwest, which is rounder, but the XXL was much too roomy at the sides, so the initial assessment of oval was correct--just the wrong size.

Yeah, I had to go to Royal as well because I wear glasses, everything is Joe Rocket except for my helmet, with a JR helmet they always pushed my glasses towards my forehead, so HJC for my helmet
