Scheduling something for January, so indoor is likely most appropriate.
Lots out there, but any recommendations on a GOOD one?
Thanks!

speedball or scenario?

Last I checked there aren't any super special places for speedball that are indoor in the GTA (a must in winter obviously). I know Eastie Boyz was a great place to go, not sure if it still is but I know they're still around.

For scenario there's Sgt. Splatter's and Defcon. Do NOT go to Paintball Nation in 'Sauga.

NEXT in Pickering does both Speedball and "Scenario" style field setups.

Eastie Boyz, and Infinite in west end and NEXT out east for speedball...

There's a pretty good place right of 401 and Dixon, scenario. ofcourse Sgt Splatters is the well known one.

Try to go on BYOB days...cuz paintball prices on reg days are pure murder.

i've played at both and its pretty much the same but yes Infinite can become scenario...albeit tiny scenario...

i'm out....its a lot more expensive than you think...speedball guys would easily go through 1000 balls a day practicing and drilling..

Paintball city I think it's called, it's connected to 401 mini indy. I liked that place the most die to the fact that everyone was given jerseys so you can easily tell who's on your team. Sgt splatters imo is too dark and dirty.

There arent really any GOOD scenario fields in the GTA. Splatters and Paintball City are both pretty ****. Paintball nation wasn't too bad the one time I played there. There's one small on in Burlington which is terrible because it's a cement floor so you just skate everywhere.

The speedball fields are all pretty well run. Easties, Next, Infinite. But prepared to get owned if you're a renter.

That's why I stopped playing. Unless you're on a team/sponsored and getting free paint the price gets properly out of hand.

Even being on a team is expensive. I was on Rockstar canada second line team and we practiced with the first tier guys all the time. Even the top guys have to pay, difference is that we'd buy the paintball per skids so the cost went down per box of 2K, but playing 7 man games meant that the last 2 guys just sat back and fired continuously through the entire 7 minute game....they'd have 5 or 6 pods on em and go through them....thats close to a 1K of paintballs.

I still have 3 or 4 boxes of tourny grade paintball from a year or two back that i slowly go through for fun....40 bucks a pop and that was a screaming deal back then.

I never got the speedball type play, or any type of play in any arena or paintball place.

When my friends and I did play, we were fortunate to be able to just a guys junk yard, plenty of old buses, tire piles, forest, trucks, etc. We all used pump hand guns and worked more on stealth and strategy then just running out shooting pools faster then you can count. In an afternoon of play, 4 to 5 hours, I would sometimes only shoot 30 balls total. Now that was fun. But thats just me.

1000balls in a day of practice??
If your playing back you an do that almost in 1 game, never mind all day. I usually played the snake or mid and would easily do 2 cases in a days practice.
I've played with splatters, Toronto Shottas and Eastie Boys.
Just shoot the $7 case of white box crap for practice and use the good stuff for the games.
I think our price a case for the Marb or Chronic paint was $26 a case of 2K.
But like he said a speedball team even playing small events like Next is expensive and requires allot of time and practice together, it's defiantly a young mans sport with lots of time on there hands.
On a side note they new to bring back Skyball :) at the dome. Oops sry Rogers center .

If you think speedball doesn't require stealth and strategy you're kidding yourself. Try playing a game with 14 guys on a field no bigger than your average soccer field. There isn't much room to hide and move without being seen/shot.

I like it because it's fast. That's why I get annoyed playing with recballers and renters when I play with friends. They just sit behind cover the whole time, peek out, and often blindly shoot at nothing. They never try and advance the game for fear of getting tagged.

For me there is no better feeling running up the tape catching your opposing mids looking down the wrong lane and bunkering the **** out of them.

But thats just me.

I just dont get it, not bashing it, its just not for me. It obviously has its own strategy and thrills. Our group were not the type to cower in a spot camping, many wore no shirts, and cheap eye protection. Hell, one guy even used a slingshot instead of a gun, he never did get a kill :) Not the smartest thing to do in hind sight, but we just used what we had.

The greatest fun was when your team was gone, and it was you against 3 or 4 guys. They were long, drawn out games but the heart raced and it was the most fun I ever had paintballing.

Indoor, I've only been to Sgt Splatter's. Had fun but didn't like the arena, too dark and dingy. Goggles fogged up like crazy.
It was part of my brother's stag so the last game they had my bro and I vs everyone at the arena lol. That was fun
