Best Dual Sport / Supermoto Helmet

I have a lot of helmets, but got into supermoto lately. The only dual sport helmet I have is a China Masei in chrome which is basically a show piece for my collection. I wouldn't trust it. I'm looking at the Scorpion EXO-AT950. Heard great things about it and can be turned into a snowmobile helmet in the winter with heated visor. I've never owned a modular helmet before tho. Any other good choices for supermoto helmets. A lot of them are plastic buckets that focus on style.

I like my Nexx helmet. You can get older model X1’s from Europe for a good price. They are light, well built, pretty durable and great shields. You can use goggles with the shield up or take it off.

They have some great designs. What's the fit like, oval or round? Size up or accurate?

I bought a Nexx X.WED2 earlier this season. It's a good helmet but I haven't worn it much because it's just been too damn hot this summer. I find I need a lot of airflow or else my head starts to overheat.

If I'm in the dirt, I wear a dirt bike helmet with goggles to get that airflow. If I'm going faster, I wear my modular and flip the chin bar up when I'm going slow. Maybe when the weather gets cooler I'll wear the dual sport helmet.

Size is pretty consistent with other brands I’ve tried. I’m a M in HJC and Shark and the M X1 fits great. I don’t own a shoei but the M fits me best when I’ve tried one on in a store. I think it’s pretty oval.

The Nexx also has neat mounts for GoPros etc if that’s your thing. Oh, and the shield is pinlock ready and comes with the insert.

I think they have a carbon version too if you want to shed more weight but they are already pretty light.

I have the X.WED2 Vaal carbon. It's not that much lighter than my Schuberth C4 Pro.

Plus 1 on the C4 pro, just moved up from the C4 which was 3 years old. Sizing can be a tad small though, I find.

This was my concern and the reason for not wearing my racing helmets...just too damn hot. Head overheats. I was looking at this one for airflow. Looks like a cheap helmet, but airflow is really good. The trade off. Obviously black would not be the colour of choice.
