This one a bit technical so please don't let it be your first ride ever! Be comfortable on the bike.
No 400-series highway, M1s okay. D-bags and stunters - go somewhere else, cheers!

Around 4-5h - goal is to practice group riding while discovering some local twisties.

Pace - moderately easy.

Will stop in Creemore for food/gas. Will stop in Belfountain on the way back for coffee.

Departure 10AM, Tim Hortons @ Hurontario/Mayfield
Fill your tank up before you show up.

I was going to offer to come along being a more experienced rider but I'm going to grand bend for soar. Maybe next time

wish i could join this :( but too bad i'm in Hamilton

I can lead people up from this area (I'm in east Hamilton) if there's interest - I'm an experienced rider and group rider. Departure time would depend on whether any highway riding is involved - pm or post if interested. I'm working today but will check in at noon.

what time do you want to leave Hamilton?

what time do you want to leave Hamilton?

Highway riding (QEW/403/410) - we would need to leave at 9:00 a.m. to hit meeting spot at 10:00 a.m. - going at a relaxed pace. Avoiding the major highways would add another 1/2 hour to that time. That's calculating from the east end of Hamilton, but I don't care where in the Hamilton area we staged from, if anyone wants to go. Its nothing to me, I've done Algonquin and back as a day trip but I ride a 1000 cc sport-tourer, so the ergonomics and comfort level are pretty easy for me - I'm not riding with my knees around my elbows :-)

OK - lets say the Tim Horton's at the corner of King and Dundurn - the one right across from Sturgess Cycle, not the one in the plaza - 8:30 a.m., then we can boot out on the QEW to at least start. I'll do a little more route planning once I get home and off the boss's computer :-)

It's not that bad. Just remember if it's chilly in the morning wear a layer you can take off so you don't melt later.

Looks like the weather will be there.

Remember guys - 10am is departure time, not meet up time.

Thanks for offering to pick-up people from the west side BeastieGirl.
If anyone feels that this will be too many km for them though, I will do another ride soon, going SW from Oakville.

I've only heard from Rakkaus from Hamilton - so Rakkaus its cool with me if you still want to go to this ride or wait for the closer one - as the kids say "its all good".

Im in 100%. I'll be there for 940 to have a tea before departure
