Banned Members - Banning from other websites?

I lurk on another motorcycle thread (bike specific) andnotice a couple members from GTAM post there as well.
One of these members got banned there, and I wanted tocontact them through GTAM (basically to voice my support).
However, I notice the user is now banned here as well.
Looking through post history, I’m not sure why they werebanned here (GTAM).
Can you get banned from multiple sites, by ‘infractions’on just one?
I was surprised to find them banned here (GTAM).

People are creatures of habit and usually forums have similar rules. More likely they just did the same things on different sites.

As a moderator on this forum, I am not aware of any central database of users whereby we are asked to ban a user because of their behaviour on a another forum.

Yeah, most likely pulled the same crap that got'em banned here on the other forum as well

Oh, I forgot it (reason for banning) could have occurred during a PM, or the posts were deleted. The person didn't seem like a trouble maker. Didn't make sense, but I don't know all the details. I guess I need to get over the fact "not everything has to make sense to ME". Thanks all. Hope you guys/gals had a great weekend!

What users are you talking about? Most got new accounts...
