No cop is going to pull you over for a helmet violation if you're wearing a fullface of any kind.
Many of the Bandit helmets are complete rip offs of Simpson helmets. How do they get away with it? It'd be interesting to compare them side by side. Let us know your opinion of the XXR when it arrives.
Bandit XXR = Simpson RX8
Bandit Crystal = Simpson Diamondback
Bandit Super Street II = Simpson Bandit

I forgot about this thread.
Got my custom Bandit XXR helmet a while back in the summer. Guys in UK did a good job and had a great communication with me. Even sent me photos of the progress. I think I got my helmet within 2-3 weeks after ordering. That's pretty quick!
Helmet gets attention everywhere I go. Random photos from cars and people coming up just to take a photo with it.
I usually wear Medium size helmets but for XXR I was told to go with Large, which fits me just right.
Helmet is a little loud but pretty comfortable. To be honest it's just my fcuk around bucket and I usually only wear it to big rides and events. My Shoei helmet is still much more comfortable, safer and quieter.
Over all I'm satisfied with the purches.
I'll post photos later.

when was this? As of July 2012, we don't have to wear a helmet that requires DOT certification...anything with ECE rating is fine.

Yes, one at a time as they make different designs. Look them up on eBay.

eons ago, late 90s. I took off the DOT sticker. Cop actually looked inside the liner. It was a European helmet.
Is Bandit the same company as ROOF? I once ordered a Roof modular, sent it back. Really poor liner and shield quality.
Just looked up those ROOF helmets, that would be a negative from me.
hey, I thought they looked cool, but the quality was like CDN tire snowmobile helmets.
Look pretty close to the new Shark everyone seems to be excited about...
