Is there a North American Bandit forum? I just bought an '01 1200 Bandit and can't find any formus other the UK..

Kinda looking for different accesorries might be available.

try maximumsuzuki.com or something like that. I remember i found a lot of info on there from fellow bandit riders when i owned a b12 a yr ago.

Nice ride. Still one of the favorite bikes that I've owned.

There's endless sites to buy aftermarket **** for that bike.

Side note: 2001 B12's had tail light 'issues'. Due to vibration & bumps on the road, they like to 'blow' rapidly / constantly. There's a rubber band fix, but the best, and easiest fix is to swap them asap to LED's (1156, or 1157's - I forget what they are - just check, and swap them to LED's that glow red.)
Other than that, you have a bulletproof bike if you maintain it. I sold mine with 91,000 kms on it, and it was still as good as the day I bought it, according to the compression & leakdown test I had done for the buyer.

Congrats on the purchase. I have an '04 Bandit 600S. I like it but in time I'd like the 1200 version.

I've upgraded the headlight, the windscreen, the seat and added hard luggage and a throttle rocker. Looking forward to putting on some mileage, once i sort out a few bugs.

Thanks Guys. Now hopefully I can ride this bike more than 16km I put on my Gixxer 1100 before I sold it! So far I really like the bike.

Looking for stuff for your bike, check out www.twistedthrottle.com You can browse by what fits your bike, they have things pretty well itemized when it comes to the bikes, including the different years for the Bandit 600's and 1200/1250's

Those are nice bikes, rock solid dependable, congrats on the new machine!

Congrats on the new purchase. I can attest to the bike's rock solid dependability. It's cheap to buy, insure, and maintain. However, keep your eye on the oil level on a weekly basis. The 2001's had an oil burning issue. I believe it had something to do with pistons that allowed excess oil to flow through.
