Hi Guys,

Here are some aviation websites which you could use to plan around the weather.

Canada
https://flightplanning.navcanada.ca
US
http://www.aviationweather.gov/adds/

The METAR TAF section will give weather forecasts and observations for selected airports. The Canadian website has a "plain read" function which helps those who aren't familiar with the short hand. They typically forecast within a 12 to 24 hour window. It's a great way to get a detailed forecast of what the weather will be doing on the day of your planned ride.

Radar now and Rainy Days are apps I use. Animated weather radar is the most accurate way of seeing whats going to be coming your way in the next few hours or so. I watch the animations for the previous few hours and then you get a really good idea of whats on the way. As for long range forecasts....depends on when in the season it is, it's mostly voodoo I've found. Anything further out than 24h starts to get a little unreliable unless there's a big weather system influencing everything around you.
