Auto Glym Bumper Trim Gel

After about 60k km my Ninja 250 dash trim was starting to get faded and had those not so nice looking white stains from accidental carnauba wax polish contact. I picked up this stuff from Canadian Tire for about 12 bucks, after I was about to get Mothers Back to Black, the name caught my attention because that's exactly what I was looking for. The sales associate recommended it over Mothers and man I'm impressed. I used about a nickle sized amount on either side and barely had to rub it in, it brought back the glossy black finish and took care of the wax stains no problem. For a motorcycle I'd expect the bottle to last at least a couple years. You pay a couple more dollars for this Auto Glym stuff but I think its worth it, its all I'll get from now on. Gotta give it a 10/10.

Thanks for this. I am going to look at this on my current resto.

I use Mothers too. I'll give this stuff a try.
Some old school biker told me he used to use vaseline to bring the black back. Apply vaseline for 24 hours and wipe off and watch the shine.
I am going to try that this spring and see what happens.

You are going to laugh but I have yet to find a better product then Peanut Butter.

+1. It removes wax really well from black plastic trim.

OP - try Plexus for all your plastic pieces including fairings. You can even use it to protect the outside of your helmet visor.

It's pricey but works great.

I would avoid the use of petroleum based agents on any type of plastics. Just my $.02
