Any interested/planning to ride to Chicago on Friday, August 31st for the long weekend? I'm planning to ride to Chicago for Saturday night (Friday night in Grand Rapids, MI) then take Route 66 to eat/stay at the Big Texan in Amarillo, Texas and visit Cadillac Ranch before heading back through Dallas, Memphis, Nashville and Columbus, Ohio. Some company would be nice.

About 52 hours or from Aug.31 to Sept.10th on a S1000RR.

Any particular reason you're going there or it's just a random destination?

To see and experience city and towns that I haven't been to.

Not to sound like an *** but you picked some of the most boring, flat and depressing roads in the USA. 5,500 of nothing really.

Its 4850km to denver and back, so you've got another 700 for some great roads in that area. Everything west of I-25 is like disney land for bikers. Also if you do go to amarillo you're turning around in amarillo just as the roads start to get twisty in new mexico. From denver to vegas you'll experience some of the coolest roads in north america. Its longer but well worth the extended trip.

Even the east coast is a whole lot of fun. WV, VA, NC, PA.

Even Toronto - denver - amarillo - toronto is a much better ride and still around 5600 km if you're strapped for time.
