Any one ride a atv or a utv, Was thinkig of getting into it. Was thinking get a can am renegade x or a polair rzr utv,

Also where do you guys ride? I ride sleds in the winter but i know that you cant go on the sled trails during winter or summer.

I ride the Yamaha BW200. Basically a two wheel ATV. Super fat ATV tires but shifting is just like a street bike(1 down, 4 up). They were only made from '85-'89. Puts a grin on my face everytime I get on it. Everybody is asking me about it when they see it. I ride on crown land and my inlaws property.

Cool Im looking what trails I can ride on, Im also looking at a side by side as I can take my daughter with me when I go.

As most legal atv trails are well north of Toronto, most municipalities pass bylaws so you can ride them on the road. A lot of trails are connected by roads so this great. However you cannot operate an atv with a passenger on any road nor can you operate utv on a road passenger or no passenger. Sucks but that's the law and the police will issue tickets. Something to think about.

Have a look at the HATVA site for trails.

That blows, I guess it depends on if your riding like a dick, or if the cops having a good day or note. I want a utv so that i can bring my little girl or wife or friends

Im more worried about do the utv's fit in the trails and am i welcome with one, Last thing I want is atvers ****** that a utv is on the trail

Im in innisfil, lots of trails up here.
Utv's are not allowed on the roads but I have seen them.
Atv's are allowed on the road, police don't really seem to have a problem with passengers as most I them ride up here anyway.

Would a two wheel drive Ural compare at all to a UTV? Just wondering if it would be better as a side by side ride.

lmao, i thought you were joking until I googled it... those things are pretty cool, but they wouldn't be able to keep up with a SxS

I was with the http://www.haliburtonatv.com/ since it's inception. Utv's not allowed on their trails. Ya you can in certain areas on Crown land use a utv...but hit and miss. Still many issues about atving but they have come along ways. Insurance...liability...access...laws. Are all evolving...the more involved the better you are informed and can help.

That's not quite right, on the rail trails, you can't fit a UTV between the gates, at each road intersection, but you can use a UTV on rest of their trails. Just have to stay off the roads.
