Asking for scam reports Kijiji Autotrader

Very popular right now. Not sure how far the scam goes. Are they just collecting commission off the $40 reports or does the report site steal your CC info? In any case, if they ask for the report, they are not interested in buying your vehicle. MP had one that after he called him out, the scammer erased the entire conversation history so you couldn't spread the information unless you happened to screenshot it along the way.

Do the standard stuff and they pay for second opinions.

I'll buy your car if you have it painted Alfa Romeo Bluette with yellow pin stripes. Let me know when it's done and we can discuss prices.

It is what it is.

I've had so many of these scams for both the Volt, and Scrambler.

They're getting better, usually leave it to 10 messages and THEN they drop the bomb. They deleted the messages on FB so can't post them but here's the jist:

'Hey, I'm interested in the bike, any issues?'
'No leaks, no noises, bike is fine'
'OK cool can I come see it tonight?'
'Sure, I'll be home after 5:30'
'OK, let's agree on a price'
'Sure, I'll sell for X'
'OK that's great, I'm on board. See you in an hour'

10min later...

'Hey, I'm on my way but forgot to ask, can you get me this report please?'
'Here's the UVIP'
'No, I need that one as the UVIP is not detailed enough'
'No, here's the VIN, and you can get the report yourself. Give me the invoice, and I'll knock that price off the bike price we agreed upon'
'No, you need to do it. It's super simple, and I'll buy 100% once given the all clear with a good report'
'Once again, here's the VIN. Go ahead and run it on the report and show me the receipt and I'll knock the price off'
'No. Why don't you do it? It's so simple? Do you think I'm so desperate I need to scam you? I'm a real buyer, just run the report please as I really really want the bike'
'GFY'

That was the type of discussion I had 3-5 times on the bike, and 1-2 times on the Volt.

Have you guys had this.
I'm selling a car, did a Carfax and have my UMVIP.
I keep getting requests to get a different package, they send you some scam website you go to.
Sold many bikes and cars over the years, never noticed this so much before.
Anyone else seeing a lot of this?

Yep, this guy did:

I would imagine they're more interested in your credit card info than $40 Your info likely goes to an Indian scam center. It's like they're going to college in India being trained in robbing North America. No punishment. Their government turns a blind eye. I get the feeling lately when I'm dealing with Amazon call center or my Mastercard etc, these offshore, non-bonded employees are stealing information at work, and selling it. This young lady is quite gifted at messing with them. Her SIRI and Alexa voices are perfect:

The guy formerly known as Mladin.
