Asian delivery on BMW's?

First time witnessing a delivery on a BMW GS1250? I find it interesting using such a nice bike for delivery.
Anyone seen this before?
Not to mention he was weaving in and out of traffic, no signals, etc.

Gig economy is a great way to get some cash off the books to double dip CERB. Also possible that it is the restaurant owner. If you have to do deliveries anyway, why not make it fun?

True, he looked like he was 17 though.

bicycle makes more sense for this DT
roadway, sidewalks, ignore red lights and stop signs
I'm a vehicle, I'm a pedestrian
they make better time than a motorized vehicle

Ebike (or even better something that looks like an ebike but isn't so far out as to attract attention) and you have best of both worlds. Something that can hold 32 km/h regardless of terrain.

Reminds me of all the 1-2 year old luxury vehicles suddenly driving for Uber the last few weeks. Gotta pay that BMW finance bill somehow.

'Was in Vancouver recently.... Due to schedules and laziness we ended up ordering uber-eats/skip the dishes a few times...
Cheapest car that showed up was a Tesla3.
The rest... A big Mercedes SUV and a McLaren... A f###### McLaren..!

I'm not ordering food unless an ex Leaf delivers it.

Well, to be honest, the original intent was this. A side job for some extra cash. The whole taxi medallion bypassing and municipal monopoly schemes aren't necessarily a national constant.

My guess is that a lot of these kids are International Students from China who get some kind of monthly allowance from their families back home. Like all kids, first time away from home with no parental supervision, they have poor money management skills. So they blow their allowance on a fancy car or bike and don't have enough money to cover food and the bar tab, so they end up working Uber or Skip The Dishes.
