Aprilia, Where Art Thou?

Sorry, but wut? This column makes zero sense. Says the middleweight class is super competitive, cites a bunch of bikes (most with different displacement) that haven't seen significant development for nigh on 15 years, mentions the RS660 and RS457, then says Aprilia should be doing more?

I mean, I know my user name reveals a bias, but this is pure word salad. He's somehow suggesting that Aprilia should develop a big v-twin to race in a class that is populated by dinosaurs? How about the others come up with 6-700cc twins that can actually compete with the RS without serious rules help? It's a way more relevant class, and far better represents the bikes people are actually buying and riding. I mean, come on. 600 cc fours and gimped 1000 cc v-twins? the '90s and '00s are long gone...

The Suzuki GSXR750s and Yamahas seem to be doing just fine against the Ducati twins, at least in MotoAmerica Open Supersport ?
It never hurts to look at possible rethinks, the marketplace is changing.
Four cylinder multis are slowly disappearing - what will replace them ?
Even MotoGP, which bears no relation to anything else, has new rules coming for 2026.
Plus, he likely gets paid by the word...
