Aprilia Shiver (1st gen) - anyone have first hand experince?

My R knee and my XR are no longer seeing eye to eye and am looking for something a little more tame with electric start. The Shiver caught my eye. A lot of opinions on the net are grain of salt.

I would have a chat with George at Corsa Meccanica. He's a sales guy but I have found him to be pretty straight up. He will have seen more shivers than most riders and should know where to look for issues.
 
I got that email from GP bikes and it peaked my interest!
