If you like pie and live in the Brampton, Mississauga, Halton hills area you'll be sad to know that Apple Factory is Closing.

First opening in 1979, the Apple Factory Country Grocer has been a staple in Brampton and Halton Hills and attracts visitors across the GTA as a tourist destination.
The roadside market will be closing its doors on Dec. 31.

The proposed development is still in review and could have some 1,302 residential units made up of 238 townhouse units and 1,064 apartments.

Guess I'll be moving out of Georgetown, not sure how I feel about 3500 more people living 10 minutes away.

I’d say we need more housing options instead of Apple factories. But I’m sure I wouldn’t want that next door to my place.

Good thing is such a large influx will increase your property value (I think).

I don't disagree, but we are talking about pie here!!?!?!...lol

Pity. Had great choices. Meat, apples, pie. British sweets. Any other recommendations? Please and thanks.

Well that photo tag is done!

I'm sure when they build this condo complex it will be right next to the existing road infrastructure and won't allow for long term transit growth.
I have a feeling with all the rapid development thy are ramming through there will be lots of long term issues like this.

I remember when that place was out in the middle of no where. Then again I can remember when there was nothing north of hwy 7 in Bramalea. Yes I still call it that.

I live in the area. It's not far from the Mount Pleasant GO station.
