They are fantastic tires... I put them on at Deals Gap and loved the week I spent on them so far.
They are amazing in the downpours rain too and seem to be getting great life outta them. I'd post GoPro footage of the downpour I survived coming down the Cherohala Skyway where you can see rivers coming across the road and "X" rooster tails coming off the bike infront of me's back and front tires, but its like 3 GB. Here's a picture instead to illustrate the dual compound rear

Excellent! Do you by any chance know if there's mold releasing agent in the Q3's? Just wondering how easy I should be taking it the first laps to scrub them in, or I can go full on right away.

I scrubbed them in down south in NC/Tenn where the asphalt is 2x better than up here with 32PSI Fr and 34PSI rear. That said, I've never taken it easy on any new tires installed that werent OEM.
Which brands still use mould releasing agents? ? I've always felt like tires are the grippiest when FIRST installed on the rims and not been in cold/hot heat cycles. It's been this way on my Bridgestone S20s, Pilot Power (1CT from 2004-onwards).. Only time I ever took it easy on tires was because of of the profile.. Michelin Pilot Powers tipped in SO fast compared to rounded worn ones.

My OEM qualifiers that came with the bike lasted 9600 km before they were slicks down the middle (no belt was showing) and they were replaced. Each set of Pilot Powers lasted 14,000 ish KM .. R10 scrubs lasted me like 1000kms or so and then the S20 another 9500 KM.

S20 were very good in colder temps (10C ish) but the rear was slipping lots towards the end in warmer weather on our slicker pavement. The front is one of the best fronts I've used and both Q3 and S20 steer similar to each other, both being very very good trail brakers compared to the older Michelin compounds/profile.

Pirelli for one, at least on some models. The SBK Pros feel like they are coated with a mixture of KY Jelly and snot for the first few laps.

Should you be going "full on right away" with any tire? Especially one you've never used before. Do you plan to run warmers on these street tires? Just go out at something like 60% lap 1, 80% lap 2... and feel them out. Handling will no doubt be different with them anyway, so you'll be getting a feel for that.

No, warmers are stuffed away for a few trackdays while I'm on these tires.

Really don't know why yur not using yur warmers Orlin. It anything, it reduces the heat cycles that your tires will go through and you will get better life out of them.

It can be tricky with street tires. You can overheat them. Corsara, I'm sort of wondering why you didn't just get GP-A's if you have warmers.

Huge debate about warmers and street tires, I believe they should be used for heat cycles. Others will say no, it's just my opinion, but I'd use them, even for 30 min

I would think that throwing on the Warmers after a session would slow down the cooling, then turn them on 15-20min before instead of 30-40min and it wouldn't over heat?
Thursday will be my first day with Warmers and GPAs...so excited.

I'm not fast enough for GPA's, the Q3 will provide plenty of grip for my times minus 6-7-8 seconds. Also, I think I'll feel a little bit more at ease if the track is a bit wet on the Q3. Maybe after these tires, I'll get GPAs.

As for the warmers---I don't know, so many different opinions, one of them being I could easily overlook and burn them (the Q3's), besides at my last trackday I didn't seem to have a problem heating up the Q2 in the first lap. In other words---I'm taking a vacation from the warmers and the genny. Both of them require a little bit of repair anyway, which I'll sort out while I'm not using them.
